Musician and dancer, Slim Buster has shifted attention to his other love-movies. Come Saturday January 28 at the National Theatre, his first major movie Hellmett will be premiered in a grand style.
Slim himself plays the lead role in the movie which tells the story of four successful friends whose world come to an illusive end when they fall in love blindly.
It all begins with the passion and the desire to have a family but they end up creating hell for themselves.
Bagad (played by Slim Buster) looks beyond the world of love and sees an unfortold danger queuing at the gates of his friends. Will all that he has, he struggles to help them see the truth. The movie has new faces like Shika Dzoale, Harriet Mensah, Leticia Offei and Albert Dzah among others.
Helmet was written by Mike Ofori, directed by Paa Kwesi Ackom of TV3 and produced by Slim Buster.
Says Slim Buster, “so much went into the making of the movie and we are glad it has turned out so beautifully, movie lovers will enjoy every bit of it.”
According to Slim, the premiere will be spectacular because it will be a night of music and movie, “Tinny, Kwabena Kwabena, Wutah, 4×4 and a host of others will perform at the premiere”, he said.
Slim, who was visibly elated about the movie urged all his fans to attend the premiere to see the other side of him. “It will be full of fun and excitement and no movie enthusiast will want to miss it”. He added.
