UK Football website, GiveMeFootball celebrated Tony Yeboah’s 46th birthday by compiling 5 of his best goals.
Over the past 20 years, the Premier League has produced a number of ‘legends’ that weren’t in the category of all-time greats, but did something rather special during their time in the English top flight.
Ghanaian striker Tony Yeboah certainly fits into that category, with a catalogue of spectacular goals at Leeds United during his two-and-a-bit seasons with the Elland Road outfit.
And, to celebrate the £3.4 million signing’s 46th birthday today, GiveMeFootball remembers five of Yeboah’s very best goals whilst playing for the Whites.
Chelsea 0-3 Leeds
Stamford Bridge
Premier League, 1994/95
An excellent team goal, with Yeboah latching on to a flick from Gary McCallister inside the penalty area and blasting home a volley past the helpless Kevin Hitchcock.
The same combination worked again for the Whites in the second-half, when Yeboah grabbed another with a far post tap-in during an emphatic victory at Stamford Bridge.
